Confidence starts with visible evidence.
Use explicit access, traceable work and independent verification. OpenWget helps you inspect your systems; it does not replace your organization’s security controls or an independent audit.
Protect account access
Use the configured email second factor or an authenticator application. Store recovery codes securely, review sessions and remove access when a person no longer needs it.
Separate observation from change
Start with read-only diagnosis. Review installations, restarts and configuration changes according to the execution policy. Administrative privileges on an endpoint remain powerful and must be assigned deliberately.
Treat files as untrusted input
Review uploaded logs, archives and instructions before using them. A filename or a generated explanation is not proof that a file is safe. Avoid uploading passwords, private keys or customer data without authorization.
Verify and preserve the record
Use the command output, return code and a separate service or connectivity check. Preserve the investigation and report unknowns honestly. No independent compliance or penetration-test certification is claimed by this release.
- Inspect exposed listening ports on authorized hosts.
- Review failed services and recent authentication events.
- Document findings before planning remediation.
